Our Founder & President, Earl Washington, created the StayCool Brand and Cap technology. This is how he came up with the StayCool Cap.

For the past forty years I have walked in the morning. Even at 4:00 am it was hot. I would pull of my cap to catch whatever breeze I could get from the wind. I would wear a sweat band in hopes to keep cool; however, when I’d get home, my t-shirt would be so wet that I’d have difficulty trying to pull it off. I thought to myself, “I have to do something about this.” That’s when I came up with the idea of the StayCool Cap, a patented product that will keep the head and neck cool in hot environments. From that idea, I created a product that is lightweight, portable and helps cool the neck and head. The StayCool Cap has patented technology that gives you cool comfort in hot outdoor activities such as fishing, landscaping, sport spectators and any outdoor activities. It can reduce heat exposure in work environments such as warehouses, manufacturing and construction areas. By preventing unhealthy heat stress, the StayCool Cap can help reduce worker health risks and improve worker productivity.
